RELICSxyz had built a player technology that streams music inside Roblox experiences. Monstercat had a catalog. We ran the brand-integration practice around Evade: a top-25 Roblox horror experience during our tenure, with a player base that had already shown up to a world our team had scaled.
The opportunity was obvious: drop the RELICSxyz Player into Evade as a diegetic object, the boombox, and let players carry real, trending music into the game with them. The risk was just as obvious: horror lives on atmosphere, and the wrong music in the wrong moment kills it.
We led the integration end-to-end: engineering the boombox, layering on custom music emotes, and standing up a recurring calendar of music-driven in-game events. Unlike most brand work, this wasn't a 10-day window. It ran as a standing system inside Evade with a recurring event cadence on top, for the rest of our tenure. Our work on Evade wrapped in 2026.
Three layers, one integration. Players carried the boombox, dressed in music-themed cosmetics, and showed up for recurring events, all inside the same Evade they already played.
We took the RELICSxyz Player and rebuilt the surface around it: a physical boombox object that fit Evade's art direction, spatialized audio that respected horror tension, and a Spotify-trending feed that updated without us touching it. The tech was theirs. The feel was ours.
A custom emote pack of dances, gestures, and idle loops, designed to be legible from across an Evade map. Players used them to signal taste, identify each other, and survive the round with a little more personality.
Music nights, artist drops, themed lobbies: a recurring event calendar layered on top of the standing integration. Each event gave the partnership a heartbeat and gave the Evade community something to organize around.
